POWER SAVE AND TAPE PROTECTIONCIRCUTT
•To save battery power, the VideoMovie (when bat¬
tery-operated) switches itself off automatically in
the following situations:
(1) When left for longer than 5 minutes in the Stop
mode.
(2) When left for longer than 5 minutes in the Re¬
cording Standby (Record-Pause) mode.
•To protect the tape, the VideoMovie (regardless of
whether battery-operated or AC-powered) releases
tape tension slightly and switches itself off auto¬
matically if left for longer than 5 minutes in the
Recording Standby (Record-Pause) mode.
• For the same reason, the VideoMovie enters the
Stop mode and switches itself off automatically if
left for longer than 5 minutes in the Still (Play-
Pause) mode.

ASSEMBLE RECORDING
TECHNIQUE - 1 (To replace the battery pack during recording)
I l f the battery warning appears in the viewfinder
or the LCD display while recording, stop record¬
ing by pressing the POWER switch to OFF,
not the STOP button.
2 R eplace the battery pack with a charged one.
3 P ress the POWER switch to ON.
•The unit will be in the Recording Standby
mode.
4 P ress the recording start/stop button to start
recording.
ASSEMBLE RECORDING
TECHNIQUE - 2 (To record onto a partially recorded tape)
I P lay back the tape to a point where you wish a
new recording to start.
• Use the SHUTTLE SEARCH button for faster
location.
2 P ress the PAUSE/STILL button at the located
point.
•The unit will enter the Still mode.
3 P ress the REC button.
•The unit will enter the Recording Standby
mode.
4 P ress the recording start/stop button to start
recording.

Some picture distortion may occur at the transition point. This is not due to any defect of the unit.
