“DATE/TIME CHARACTER INSERT
The date/time/character can be displayed and
recorded according to the selected mode.
Wl Set the PROGRAM AE select dial to "AUTO MODE
RELEASE".
i Press DISPLAY while in the Record-Pause mode to
cycle through the modes in the order shown on the
left.
= Setting PROGRAM AE to “AUTO MODE LOCK"
always engages the Auto Date record mode.

The selected display mode can be recorded.
When no display is needed on the recorded tape,
select Date-off mode before shooting.
§ To delete the display during recording, press
DISPLAY.
— If the display is to be called back on the screen ,
put the VideoMovie into the Record-Pause mode
first. Then press DISPLAY to select the desired
mode.
Note:
@ The DISPLAY button does not work when PROGRAM AE
is set to "AUTO MODE LOCK”.
“Auto Date Record:function/Auto Date :Titler.
These functions allow the date (month, day and year)
to be automatically recorded for about 5 seconds
following the first operation of the Recording Start/Stop
button:
= after changing the date.
= after a cassette is loaded, or
= after its mode is selected by DISPLAY.
ain the Auto Date Record mode, the viewfinder
indication shows the date during the initial
5 seconds, then changes to “AUTO DATE".
@ In the Auto Date Titler mode, the date is displayed in
large characters in the center of the viewfinder
screen.

The viewfinder indications can also be displayed on
the screen of a monitor connected to the VideoMovie.
= Connect the VideoMovie to a video monitor. Press
DISPLAY until the viewfinder indications (C= P. 45.)
appear on the monitor screen.
In the On-Screen Display mode, the date will be
displayed and recorded.
# The on-screen display is not available during
recording.

You can make your own title, store it in advance and
superimpose it over the scene being shat.
How to store:
fl Prass DISPLAY until "SET CHAR" or a title you have
stored earlier appears in the viewfinder.
Press SET.
~— CHARACTER SET MODE screen will appear in the
viewtinder.
Press SELECT to move the cursor, and then press SET to
choose the desired characters.
1 Repeat step §§ to set all needed characters.
— After all the desired characters have been entered,
press SET. The CHARACTER SET MODE screen will
disappear, and the stored characters will be displayed.
Notes:
® Up to ten characters can be stored.
& Only one personally input title can be stored at a time. To
replace it with another title, proceed as above again.
One of them can be superimposed above the
Character Generator's stored title.
How to superimpose the Title:
Press TITLES as many times as required until the
desired Title is displayed. The Title changes in the
sequence below:

= A personal title stored in the Character Generator
can be displayed in the same position as the Instant
Title.
— The Instant Title's function can be used along
with the Character Generator mode;
consequently, a pair of identical stored titles can
be superimposed.
Notes:
= The TITLES button is not effective during recording.
= The Instant Title cannot be displayed when
PROGRAM AE is set to "AUTO MODE LOCK".
