The VideoMovie permits playback of recorded "VHS-
C” video cassettes.
For connections refer to pages 36 and 37.

— The power indicator lights.
Press PLAY.

the viewfinder screen and connected TV.

@ After about 5 minutes in Stop mode, the
VideoMovie switches itself off automatically.
(To turn on the VideoMovie again, set the power
switch to "OFF" first and then back to “PLAY".)
To rewind the tape:
When in the stop mode, press REW.
— For high speed rewind, hold REW for more than 2
seconds. (The elapsed time counter changes to
To fast-forward the tape:
When in the stop mode, press FF.
— For high-speed fast-forward, hold FF for more than
2 seconds. (The elapsed time counter changes to
"t—-")
Note:
The elapsed time counter indication and counter
memory function («7 P. 35) do not function when
using the high-speed REW or high-speed FF mode.

® To reset the tracking back to its standard preset,
press both TRACKING (-/+) simultaneously.
Note:
The tracking adjustment may not be effective on tapes
recorded on another VCR's or VideoMovies.

Press PAUSE during playback.
— The power indicator lights.
™ To protect the tape and to conserve power, the
VideoMovie will enter the stop mode and turn itself
off after 5 minutes of stilt playback.

Fast-speed forward playback:
Press FF during playback.
— Playback speed of the tape will be 3 times the
normal speed in the SP mode, and 7 times in the
EP mode.
Fast-speed reverse playback:
Press REW in the Play mode.
— Reverse playback speed of the tape will be 3 times
the norma! speed in ihe SP mode, and 7 times in
the EP mode.
Notes:
= For brief fast-speed searching, hold FF or REW for
more than 2 seconds. When the button Is released,
the search ends and the tape will play.
= Noise bars will appear and pictures may become
monochrome while in Still Playback or Shuttle
Search. This is not due to any defect of the unit.
SGOUNTER
MEMDRVIFUNCHTION:
This
VideoMovie
incorporates
a
counter
memory
function
which
facilitates
locating
a
specific
tape
segment.
MB Press COUNTER RESET.
~~ Resets the counter to "0:00:00".
Press COUNTER MEMORY. — "M” appears.
After recording or playback, press STOP, then REW.
— The tape will automatically stop at the counter
reading of around "0:00:00".
Press PLAY. — Playback starts.
Notes:
™ The counter memory functions in the Fast-Forward
and Rewind modes.
= The counter memory is reset when the high-speed
Fast-Forward or Rewind mode is used.
= To cancel the memory function, press COUNTER
MEMORY so that the "M" disappears.
u The counter memory is reset when power is
removed from the VideoMovie.
