Il Separate the Velcro strip to expand the toop.
Pass your right hand through the loop and grasp
the grip.
Adjust the length of the strap so that your thumb
and fingers can easily manipulate the Recording
Start/Stop button and power zoom buttons.
i Refasten the Velcro strip.
® The power zoom buttons can be adjusted to one
of three positions: up, middie and down.
— Slide the zoom button adjust switch in the
direction of the arrow, and move the power
zoom button to the desired position.

® Positioning
The viewfinder can be positioned for best viewability
(@).
© Diopter adjustment
The viewfinder lens can be adjsuted to suit the
operator's eyesight.
Il Set the power switch to "CAMERA".
BW Turn the diopter adjustment control until the
indications in the viewfinder are clearly focused.
Set the recording mode select switch as required.
= SP: To maintain sound and picture quality.
Better for dubbing later.
= EP: To record 3 times longer than when in the
SP mode. For more economical use of tape.
Note:
Vf the recording mode is switched during actual
recording on the same tape, the playback picture will
be blurred at the point of switching.

The tape remaining time is displayed in the viewfinder
as shown. Before shooting, set the tape length select
switch according to the tape being used.
® TC-20:When using a tape with 20-minute recording
time or fess.
® TC-30:When using a tape with recording time of
more than 20 minutes (SP).
Notes:
® The indication will start blinking when the remaining
tape time reaches 2 minutes.
= The indicated remaining time is approximate.
= The time required to calculate the remaining tape
length and accuracy of the calculation may vary
according to the type of tape used.
® "TAPE END" appears when the tape reaches its
end. "TAPE END” also appears when a cassette is
loaded whose tape is already at its end.

Ml Loop the end of the strap over the top of the eyelet
©, then, folding it back, thread the end of the strap
first through the keeper @, then the buckle @.
Making sure that the strap is not twisted, repeat the
above procedure to attach the other end of the
Strap to the other eyelet.
Adjust the shoulder strap to the desired length ©,
then slide both keepers up snug against the eyelets
to prevent the strap from slipping @.
Align the screw and camera direction stud of the tripod
with the camera's tripod mounting socket and stud
hole, and firmly tighten the screw.
