Why can't I hear sound from my JVC KD-G400 Car Stereo System speakers?

  There might be several reasons why you cannot hear sound from the speakers: * The volume level might be set to the minimum. If so, adjust it to a higher, more audible level. * The connections could be incorrect. In this case, check the cords and connections to ensure they are properly connected. * The built-in microcomputer may have malfunctioned due to noise. To resolve this, detach the control panel and press the reset button on the panel holder. Note that this will erase the clock setting and preset stations stored in memory.

Insert a finalized CD-R/CD-RW, or finalize the CD-R/CD-RW using the component you used for recording. * The disc may be locked. Unlock the disc. * If you are driving on rough roads, stop playback until you are on a smoother surface. * The disc may be scratched. Try changing the disc. * Connections may be incorrect. Check all cords and connections. * There might be no disc in the loading slot. Insert a disc into the loading slot.

  If your MP3 disc cannot be played back, consider the following: * No MP3 files are recorded on the disc. Change the disc. * MP3 files do not have the extension code in their file names. Add the extension code to their file names. * MP3 files are not recorded in the format compliant with ISO 9660 Level 1, Level 2, Romeo, or Joliet. Change the disc and record MP3 files using a compliant application. * The file played back is not an MP3 file (although it has the extension code ). Skip to another file or change the disc and do not add the extension code to non- MP3 files. * Readout time varies due to the complexity of the folder/file configuration.
