Usage Features

Installation and Setup: The device requires assembly of the push rod, cable hooks, and detergent tank. The push rod is aligned and screwed into the device. Cable hooks are attached to the push rod to manage the power cord and secure the detergent tank. The detergent tank is attached to the lower cable hook, and its hose is connected to the hose nipple on the device. For the "C Spray" model, the spray system hose is connected from the detergent tank to the pump inlet and then from the pump outlet to the spray nozzle distributor.

Pad Attachment: Before operation, the appropriate pad for the cleaning task must be selected and attached. The cleaning head is swiveled upwards by lifting the handle, the pad is centered and pressed onto the pad drive board, and then the cleaning head is swiveled back downwards.

Filling with Detergent: The detergent tank should be filled with recommended cleaning solutions. It is crucial to use only detergents free of solvents, salt, and hydrofluoric acid, and to adhere to the safety instructions on the detergent packaging. The cleaning solution temperature must not exceed 50 °C to prevent damage to the device.

Adjusting the Handle: The handle's tilt can be adjusted to a comfortable working position (approximately hip height) by pulling the tilt adjustment lever upwards, moving the handle, and then releasing the lever until it locks into place. This adjustment should only be performed when the device is switched off.

Operation: To switch on the device, the operator must hold the handle with both hands, press and hold the unlocking button, and then operate the ON/OFF switch. The unlocking button should be released after the ON/OFF switch is engaged. To interrupt operation, the ON/OFF switch is released. For cleaning, the cleaning solution lever is pulled to supply solution to the pad. The device is guided over the surface. For heavy contamination, the area can be cleaned multiple times. Waste water should then be vacuumed or soaked up. For the spray system, the "Spray" switch is set to "ON." Nozzles can be adjusted by releasing the clamping screw, aligning the nozzle, and then tightening the screw.

Safety Instructions: Operators must always wear eye protection. Extra caution is advised when operating on stairs. The machine should not be used when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. The device must always be moved while it is switched on to prevent damage to the floor covering. The power cord should be completely unwound from the cable clips before use. The device must be connected to a properly grounded outlet. The maximum permissible grid impedance at the electrical connection point must not be exceeded.

Shutting Down: To shut down, the mains plug is pulled from the outlet. The handle is moved to a vertical position by pulling the tilt adjustment lever upwards. Any remaining cleaning solution is removed from the detergent tank, and the tank is rinsed with clean water. For the "C Spray" model, the spray system should also be rinsed. The power cord is then wound around the cable hooks.

Maintenance Features

Care and Service: Regular maintenance includes washing dirty pads at a maximum of 60 °C and cleaning the device casing with a damp cloth. The power cord should be checked for damage. It is crucial to disconnect the mains plug before performing any maintenance work.

Troubleshooting: A troubleshooting guide is provided to address common issues such as insufficient cleaning results, strong vibrations, or the pad not rotating. Solutions include replacing pads, checking detergent suitability, ensuring proper pad positioning, and verifying the power connection. For the spray system, troubleshooting involves refilling the detergent tank, cleaning the detergent tank filter, and cleaning the nozzles.

Storage: The device should be stored indoors. To protect the pad drive board, the cleaning head should be swiveled upwards by lifting the handle. The weight of the device should be considered during transport and storage. When transporting in vehicles, the device should be secured to prevent slipping and overturning.

Warranty: Kärcher provides a warranty for the device, covering material or manufacturing flaws. In case of a warranty claim, customers should contact their dealer or an authorized customer service center with the purchase receipt.
