Î Turn on the appliance.
Note
The brush switches on automatically when
the hand pipe sits firmly into the motor cas-
ing. Please check!
Î Pull out the hand pipe from the motor
casing. The brush will switch off auto-
matically.
Î Mount the joints or upholstery nozzle on
the hand pipe.
Î Carry out the cleaning tasks using the
hand pipe.
Note
Do not work with the hand pipe without at-
taching the joint or upholstery nozzle (if the
hand pipe gets worn out it will hamper the
working of the machine, see section on trou-
bleshooting).
Î After completing the cleaning jobs, insert
the hand pipe vertically into the motor
casing.
The brush can be adjusted to match the pile
height of the carpet.
Î Bring the appliance to a working position
(approx. 45°)
Î Select desired position between 1 and 4
using the adjustment knob.
– Position 1: low pile
– Position 4: high pile
Note
No adjustment can be done when the appli-
ance is in resting position.
The electronic brush control continuously
monitors the working of the brush.
– No light
Brush is working properly.
– Orange light is glowing
Set the adjustment knob for pile height to
the lower pile height.
– Orange light also glows at lowest lev-
el
Replace brush strip.
