What to do if Kärcher K 5.540 Pressure Washer output pressure varies?
- LLindsey MooreSep 8, 2025
If the output pressure of your Kärcher Pressure Washer varies, start by ensuring that the water is turned on full force and check the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. Also, the pump may be sucking air; check that all hoses and fittings are airtight, then turn off the machine and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle. Clean the water inlet filter by removing it and rinsing it in warm water. Clear any obstructions from the discharge nozzle using a fine needle. If the gun, hose, or spray wand is calcified, run distilled vinegar through the detergent suction tube.
