  If your Kenmore Air Conditioner does not cool the room and there is ice behind the front panel, consider the following: * If the outside temperature is below 16 °C, set the mode to FAN ONLY and the fan speed to the fastest setting to defrost the coil. * If the filter is dirty, open the front panel, remove the filter, rinse or vacuum it, replace it, and close the panel. * If the BTU size is too large, a lower capacity unit may be required depending on the size of the room being cooled.
