Warmer Drawer
Warm & Ready™ drawer (some models)
The warmer drawer is designed to keep hot cooked foods at
serving temperatures. It is not recommended to heat cold food
in the warmer drawer; always start with hot food. All food
placed in the warmer drawer should be covered with a lid or
aluminum foil to maintain quality.
The warmer drawer may also be used to warm flatware and
serving dishes.
Food Poisoning Hazard. Do not let food sit for
more than one hour before or after cooking. Doing so can result
in food poisoning or sickness. Foods that can easily spoil such as
milk, eggs, fish, meat or poultry, should be chilled in the refriger-
ator first. Even when chilled, they should not stand in the oven
for more than 1 hour before cooking begins, and should be
removed promptly when finished cooking.
Storage in or on appliance—flammable
materials should not be stored in an oven, warmer drawer, near
surface units. This includes paper, plastic and cloth items, such
as cookbooks, plasticware and towels, as well as flammable
liquids. Do not store explosives, such as aerosol cans, on or near
the range.
Do Not Leave Children Alone —children
should not be left alone or unattended in the area where
appliance is in use. They should never be allowed to sit or stand
on any part of the appliance, including the warmer drawer.
Always use pot holders or oven mitts when
removing food from the warmer drawer as cookware and plates
will be hot and you can be burned.
Important note:
The warmer drawer is equipped with a catch that may require
extra force when opening and closing the drawer.
Arranging warmer drawer rack positions
The keep warmer drawer rack may be used in two ways:
In the upright position (Figure 42) to allow low profile food
items to be placed both under and on top of the rack (for
example, rolls or biscuits on top of the rack and a casserole
dish underneath).
In the downward position (Figure 43) to allow for light
weight food items and empty cookware (for example, rolls
or pastries and dinner plates) on the rack.
Warmer Drawer Controls
The warmer drawer controls are located on the left side of the
control panel. Use the warmer drawer control keys to turn ON
and OFF and make temperature adjustments. Available temper-
ature settings are approximate, and are designated by Lo, Med,
and Hi (Figure 44). If needed, refer to Warmer drawer recom-
mended food settings provided in Table 5.
