Test mode speci cations in Tuner source
Error is found in front-end, etc. if indications below is displayed while in tuner source.
Status Description of display Description
Front-end E2PROM data error
TNE2P NG
E2PROM in the front-end has its default values (Uncertain values)
as they are. This is to indicate that the E2PROM has been shipped
without undergoing the adjustment process or any other process.
Front- end communication error
TNCON NG
Communication with front-end is not possible.
Destination mismatch
TNTYP NG
The destination of the front-end E2PROM is inconsistent with that
of the unit itself.
• Tuner preset operation
Key Description of display Description
4 Preset function
F# 98.3A4
Switch to 98.3MHz with the preset key [4].
• K3I forced switching
Every time when key [6] is pressed in the tuner FM source, switched in the following order: AUTO
Forced WIDE
Forced MIDDLE
Forced MARROW
AUTO. Default status is AUTO, and displayed as shown below.

• FST adjustment mode
Perform FST soft-mute adjustment.
Key Note
Enter the FST adjustment mode (by pressing and holding the key for 1 second). First step should be the “Soft-mute adjustment”.
In the FST adjustment mode, frequency should be switched to 98.3MHz
Operations in the FST adjustment mode are as follows:

Displays the data that has been written in the E2PROM
when pressing the key for 2 seconds or longer.

Clear the FST adjustment mode (Returns to normal
display and the test mode is retained)
After completing the FST adjustment, if you wish to clear the test mode, you can do this using the reset button.
