REGULATED DC POWER SUPPLIES
58
The PS Series power supplies are DC constant-voltage
(CV), constant-current (CC) power supplies based on
the variable switching method, featuring compact size,
light weight, excellent reliability and the variable
outputs. They have been designed as highly universal
stand-alone type models putting emphasis on the ease
of operation and safety and equipped with a variety of
protection functions. Three capacity types are
available including 360W, 720W, and 1080W and 13
kinds of variations are available by combining ranges of
0 to 6 V, 10 V, 20 V, 36 V and 60 V. Several versatile
applications are also provided including remote control
functions with GP-IB control capability (which is possible
when the optional GP-600 is used.)
Compact Size, Light Weight, High Efficiency
Thanks to the advanced switching method, the PS Series power
supplies are both compact and light , with less than half the mass
and volume of previous power supply models, resulting in an
excellent space factor and high efficiency
.Digital Display of Voltage and Current
Output voltage and current are indicated on 7-segment red LED
displays to allow easy checking.

Summary

Outline of PS Series Power Supplies

Key Features of PS Series Power Supplies

Compact Size, Light Weight, High Efficiency

Highlights the PS Series' compact and lightweight design, achieved through an advanced switching method for excellent space efficiency and high efficiency.

Digital Display of Voltage and Current

Output voltage and current are clearly indicated on 7-segment red LED displays for easy monitoring and checking.

Safety Features and Protection

Fail-Safe Function

Ensures safety by stopping switching operation and interrupting the AC power relay when a protection function is active.

Output Over-Voltage Protection (OVP)

Stops switching operation and turns off the output when the output voltage exceeds the OVP setting value.

Output Over-Current Protection (OCP)

Stops switching operation and interrupts AC power relay if output current exceeds 110% of the rated current.

Over-Heat Protection (OHP)

Stops switching operation and interrupts AC power relay when the heat sink temperature reaches approximately 100°C.

Input Power Abnormality Protection

Stops switching operation and turns off the output due to input over-voltage, voltage drop, or internal abnormality.

Alarm (Power Abnormality) Signal

Generates an alarm signal to turn output off and interrupt AC power relay upon detecting OCP, OHP, or power off.

Power Relay Off Signal

Allows the power relay to be interrupted by an external signal for user-side troubleshooting or issues.

Rush Current Protection Circuit

Activates upon power-on to reduce the input surge current, protecting the power supply.

OVP Presetting

Digital Display Functionality

Output and Limit Switch Functions

Output Switch

Uses an electronic switch system for silent operation, automatically set to off at power-on for safety.

Limit Switch

Displays constant voltage and current limiting values for setting and verification without interrupting output.

Power Switch Operation

Product Applications

GP-IB System Integration

Remote Control Operations

Remote Sensing

Compensates for voltage drop caused by load connection resistance and contact resistance up to 1V per path.

AC Power ON/OFF Control

Allows external control of the AC power relay on/off, provided the power switch is on.

Output ON/OFF Control

Enables external signal control for turning the output on/off, or fixing it to on.

CV/CC Monitoring

Provides monitoring outputs for voltage (0-1/10V) and current (0-10V) relative to rated values.

Control via External Voltage

Allows output voltage and current control using an external voltage source (0-10V).

Control via External Resistance

Enables output voltage and current control using an external resistance (0-10kΩ).
