Warnings and Precautions
DANGER: Not for use in the presence of ammable anesthetics.
WARNING: Use of other accessories which are not authorized for
use in connection with the System B 1005 may cause malfunction
and may compromise patient safety.
CAUTION: This device has been investigated with regard to safety
from electrical shock and re hazard as well as electromagnetic
compatibility (EMC). The device has not been investigated for
other physiological effects.
CAUTION: For use by qualied and trained personnel only.

Product Features
1. The unit operates from a rechargeable battery.
A sturdy, sealed lead-acid battery provides quick reliable power.
At the maximum temperature the battery will provide one hour of
heating power before being depleted.
2. Recharge the battery with the charge adapter.
The unit is delivered fully charged. To recharge the battery use only
the plug-in adapter which comes with the System B HeatSource. Put
the unit in the Store mode by using the panel switch. Remove the tip
from the probe handle. Plug the charge adapter into a grounded wall
outlet and insert the jack at the end of the cord into the receptacle at
the back of the unit. The yellow Charge light will come on.
Note: The System B HeatSource will not operate while charge
adapter is plugged into unit.
For longest battery life, keep the unit on charge at all times when
not in use. The battery cannot be overcharged.
The battery is fully charged when the yellow Charge light turns off.
If the charge adapter is re-inserted when the unit is fully charged, the
Charge light will ash once.
The amber Low light will light up when you need to fully recharge
your battery.

3. The System B HeatSource probe
handle has special features.
The pinvise nut (1) provides a convenient holder for the different
tips. The contact spring (Ring Switch) (2) on the pinvise nut allows
you to touch activate the System B from any direction while wearing
gloves. When you want to heat a tip, depress the spring so that it
contacts the shaft (3).
