DISK
The SD1 is supplied standard with built-in 6 GB Hard Disk and a Disk drive for Floppy Disks of 720 Kb (DD) or 1,4 MB (HD). The SD1 uses the DOS
format for the Floppy, therefore the same floppy disk can be used to exchange files from PC or Mac. The direct connection to a PC on the back
of the control panel is used to directly control the contents of the Hard Disk via PC, by means of an application developed by Ketron.
HOW IT WORKS AND HOW THE FILES OF THE HARD DISK ARE MANAGED
Likewise for any computer Hard Disk, the SD1 offers the possibility to create folders and to copy, rename and cancel compatible files. The SD1
works principally with directories of files but can make the job easier thanks to the Master Folder concept.
The Hard Disk can stored up to a maximum of 99 Folder (or files) each of which may include any type of file for a maximum of 999 files. The
files and the Folders are displayed in alphabetical order and they are attributed a progressive number according to the time order in which they
are created, which will be required in some cases to load the file directly by entering the number using the numeric keypad (STYLES push but-
tons) or to call-up a Folder.
THE MASTER FOLDER CONCEPT
The SD1 makes it amazingly simple to find and save the files thanks to the Master Folder idea. It practically involves some Folders created by
Ketron that are used as a reference when the MASTER FOLDER push button is enabled. In this way you can save and load the files within the
suitable folder automatically without having to worry about choosing the right folder when saving and loading. For each operating environ-
ment the SD1 will always know which is the right folder for that type of file being managed.
The Folders created by Ketron for this purpose are thus split-up and numbered:

Another Folder (USER Folder number 98) within Master Folder has been arranged for all files generated following the modification of the inter-
nal parameters of the SD1. The USER FILE Folder (Folder 98) gathers some files. Compared to what has been described so far, however, this
distribution does not correspond to real Folders but it is supplied by the SD1 just to make it easier to find the files.
