Mounting
CAUTION: This unit is sealed. The cover is not removable!
• Pull the AC Quick-Connect wire harness through the centre hole
in the mounting plate and secure the plate, making sure that
the mounting screws are positioned in the small ends of the
keyholes before tightening (Image 4A).
• (For models i12040ACA and P121040CA) Press the battery
reminder tab down into the battery compartment while
inserting the battery (Image 4C).
CAUTION: If the battery reminder tab is not held down in the battery
compartment by the battery, the battery door will not close and the
unit will not attach to the mounting plate.
• Plug the AC Quick-Connect wire harness into the back of the
alarm (Image 5), making sure that the locks on the connector
snap into place. Push the excess wire back into the electrical box
through the hole in the center of the mounting plate.
• Alignment marks are provided on the edge of the mounting plate and
the alarm. After installing the mounting plate, place the alarm onto the
mounting plate, making sure the alignment marks are lined up. Twist
the alarm in the direction indicated by the “ON” arrow on the alarm
cover (Image 4B) until it locks in place.
