Test Test methods
Visual inspection 1. Verify that the detector’s green LED flashes.
2. Inspect the equipment for any visible signs of damage or
other changes that may adversely affect performance.
Clean if necessary.
Initial and Reacceptance Caution: Directing heated air at a single point may
permanently damage the heat detector. Wave the hair blower
slowly back and forth approximately 1 in. from the heat entry
slots.
1. Remove the detector from its base. Veri
fy that the control
panel displays a trouble message that correctly identifies
the detector.
2. Activate the detector using a commercial grade (1200 t
o
1500
W) hair blower. Verify that the detector’s red LED
flashes and the control panel displays an alarm
that correctly identifies the detector.
3. If the detector is installed in a relay base, verify the
correct operation of the relay.
