This document describes the Solar Animal and Bird Repeller, an outdoor solar ultrasonic device designed to deter animals.
Function Description
The device utilizes a combination of ultrasonic waves, LED flashing lights, and high-decibel alarm sounds to repel various animals. It features double-sided induction for wider coverage. The repeller operates in several modes:
- Mode 1: Automatic frequency switching of ultrasonic waves from 15kHz to 65kHz.
- Mode 2: Emits continuous ultrasonic alarm sounds (15kHz-65kHz) until the animal is driven out of the sensing range.
- Mode 3: Activates red and white LED flashing lights and infrared light for driving mode.
- Mode 4: Emits ultrasonic alarm sound.
- Mode 5: Combines red and white LED flashing lights, infrared light, ultrasonic waves, and ultrasonic alarm sounds.
- Mode 6: Combines red and white LED flashing lights, infrared light, ultrasonic, and voice alarm.
The device also has:
- Standby mode: The standard working state where the equipment can normally input signals and trigger function output.
- Sleep mode: The equipment turns off signal reception and function output, ensuring only core operations to reduce power consumption.
- Induction mode: Infrared rays sense thermal energy objects (adjustable straight line 1-12M) to emit ultrasonic waves (automatic frequency conversion). It features a high-power 360-degree flash ultrasonic alarm.
The repeller offers both single-sided and double-sided induction modes, with the latter covering a wider area. The alarm sound feature includes 10 kinds of randomly played sounds to prevent animals from adapting.

Usage Features
The device is designed for outdoor use and offers flexible control:
- Switch / Sensing Distance / Volume Adjustment: A knob allows clockwise adjustment to increase sensing sensitivity and alarm volume, and counterclockwise to decrease them.
- Gear/Mode Adjustment: Pressing the button for 2 seconds switches between single/double-sided induction modes (indicated by two white flashes). Pressing it once switches between the six frequency working modes.
- Charging: The device can be charged via its built-in solar panel or a Type-C USB charging port. A red indicator light signifies charging, and a green light indicates a full charge.
- Placement: The device comes with a mounting rod and connecting rod for easy installation.
Maintenance Features
- Battery Management: The device is powered by a 2200mAh 18650 lithium battery. If the battery is loose or the power cord is loose, it may not charge. Reinstalling the battery can resolve this. A weak sound or no operation when an animal is near indicates a low battery, requiring charging.
- Charging Time: A full charge can last more than 10 days, depending on usage. USB charging with a 5V 500mA adapter typically takes 2-3 hours. Solar charging occurs whenever there is light, but its speed depends on light intensity. For optimal solar charging, adjust the solar panel to face direct sunlight. If the battery is exhausted, USB charging is recommended for faster replenishment.
- Water Resistance: The device has an IP66 waterproof rating, meaning it can withstand rain but should not be submerged in water. If accidentally submerged, immediately remove it, open the battery cover, remove the battery, and allow the interior to dry completely before installing new batteries.
- Effectiveness: It may take 1-2 weeks for the product to take full effect, as animals adapt differently to sounds. Selecting the appropriate frequency shift based on the animal species is important.
- Safety: The product primarily uses ultrasonic waves, which are generally harmless to humans and pets. However, a small percentage of sound waves may be audible and cause discomfort over time, so it is not recommended to aim the product directly at humans or pets.
- Troubleshooting: If the device doesn't sense animals, check if it's switched on, if the battery is charged, and adjust the "Sensitivity" knob to maximum. The maximum induction range is 10 meters, and the sensor covers a 110-degree angle. If the device makes a weak ticking sound, it likely needs recharging.
