* Check the fuel tank and refill
if necessary.
* Also check the fuel system
for air or leaks.
* If necessary, replace with a
new nozzle
* Check amount of engine oil
with oil level gauge.
* Check lubricating oil system.
* Check to see if element
inside the lubricating oil
filter has become old and
clogged. If necessary,
replace with new element.
* Check to see if the engine
bearing clearances is within
factory spec.
Cause Countermeasures
When Engine Suddenly Stops
IMPORTANT :
• When the engine has suddenly stopped, decom-
press the engine by the decamp. and turn the en-
gine lightly by pulling on the fan belt, if the en-
gine turns easily without abnormalities, the cause
of the trouble is usually lack of fuel or bad nozzle.

* Check the adjustments and
timing of injection and the
fuel system.
* Check all moving parts
carefully
* Check the fuel injection
system, especially the fuel
injection nozzle
* Check the lubricating system
* Check the lubricating
system.
* Check to see if the engine
bearing clearances are
within factory specs.
* Check the function of the
regulating valve inside of oil
filter.
* Check pressure switch
* Check filter base gasket
