Sensor 1 Is the original detected? No Clean the sensors.
Refer to [6.1.2 Sensors] for
cleaning.
Check the sensor which
detects the leading edge of
original.
Replace it if damaged.
USB Cable 2 Is the USB Cable connected correctly? No Connect it correctly.
Main PCB 3 Can you fix the problem if you replace
Main PCB?
Yes OK
7. 2. 2 Scanner does not start feeding correctly placed
originals

Foreign substance 1 Is there any foreign substance under
the Upper Unit?
Yes Remove it.
Motor 2 Does the Motor operate correctly? No Check Motor.
Replace it if damaged.
+24VDC 3 Is +24VDC supplied to the scanner? No Check DC Power Supply.
Replace it if damaged.
Main PCB 4 Can you fix the problem if you replace
Main PCB?
Yes OK
