Function Description:

The primary function of the KitchenAid® Blender is to process food ingredients by blending, chopping, mixing, pureeing, liquefying, and crushing. It is equipped with a powerful motor and a specially designed blade assembly to handle various consistencies and textures. The blender can be used for preparing drinks and cocktails, desserts, soups, main dishes, dressings, toppings, and even baby foods. Its ability to crush ice quickly and efficiently makes it ideal for frozen beverages and desserts. The blender's "Pulse At Any Speed" feature offers precise control over blending, allowing users to achieve desired consistencies without overprocessing. The Step Start™ feature ensures a smooth blending process by starting at a lower speed to prevent splattering before gradually increasing to the selected speed.

• Control Pad: The blender features a Clean Touch Control Pad with intuitive symbols for various functions, including Ice Crushing, Chop, Mix, Purée, Liquefy, Stir, Off, On, and Pulse. This allows for straightforward selection of desired blending modes.
• Speed Control: The blender offers ten speed combinations, providing flexibility for different recipes and ingredient types. Users can change speeds during operation without stopping the unit.
• Pulse Feature: The "Pulse At Any Speed" feature allows for intermittent blending at any selected speed, giving users precise control over the texture and consistency of their food. This is particularly useful for chopping, crushing, or achieving chunky textures.
• Ingredient Cap: A 60ml Ingredient Cap with measurement graduations is integrated into the cover, allowing users to add liquids or small ingredients during blending without removing the entire lid.
• Hot Liquids: When blending warm or hot liquids, the center ingredient cap should be removed, and the blender should be operated only on the "Stir" speed to prevent pressure buildup.
• Jar Assembly: The blender jar, blade assembly, and threaded collar are designed for secure and proper assembly, ensuring safe operation and preventing leaks. The jar is placed onto the power base, and the power cord is plugged into a grounded outlet to prepare for use.
• Cord Storage: The power cord can be coiled into a storage area on the bottom of the power base, helping to keep the countertop tidy.

• Blender Jar Cleaning: For light cleaning, the jar can be filled with hot, soapy water and operated for 30 seconds, then rinsed and dried. For a more thorough cleaning, the jar, blade assembly, and jar collar can be washed in a dishwasher or by hand in warm, sudsy water. The blade assembly can be partially removed from the jar to create space for cleaning the ring gasket.
• Lid Cleaning: The blender lid should be washed by hand and is not dishwasher-safe.
• Base Cleaning: The blender base should be wiped with a warm, sudsy cloth, then a damp cloth, and dried with a soft cloth. Abrasive cleansers or scouring pads should not be used on the base. The base should never be immersed in water.
• Cord Cleaning: The power cord can be wiped clean with a warm, sudsy cloth, then a damp cloth, and dried with a soft cloth.
• Storage: After cleaning, all blender parts should be correctly reassembled before storing the unit on the blender base.
• Safety During Cleaning: Before cleaning or servicing, the blender should always be unplugged from the outlet to prevent electrical shock. Hands and utensils should be kept out of the container while blending, and a scraper should only be used when the blender is not running. Blades are sharp and should be handled carefully.
