Ⅴ Cleanup,WashandMaintenance
1.1 Strainersneedtobeperiodicallycleanedandwashed.Ifstrainershavetheplugonthecap,
itisrecommendedforavalvetobeinstalledtotheplugwithahosebeingattachedtothe
valveshowninthediagrambelow,sothatefficiencyintheoperationtodrainthefluids
remaining in the screen shall be improved. This arrangement will also function as the
preventionofaccidents.
1.2 Timingtowashthescreendependsonhowthescreenisdisturbedbyforeignobjects.This
may differ from location to location. Conduct tests on strainers in each location to
examine the condition of the screen and determine the most effective replacement
schedule.
1.3 Usecompressedairorstandarddetergenttowashthescreen.
2. Reassembly
2.1 Ensurethatthescreenthatwaswashedhasnodamage.
2.2 Incasethescreenorgasketisreplaced,selectonessuitableforthefluidconditions.
2.3 Whenrequestingscreensforreplacement,provideProductName(ProductCode)andsize
ofstrainers.Foroptionalscreens,alsoprovideMeshNo.
2.4 Forthescrewedcapdesign,attachthewashedscreentothegrooveofthecap,placethe
caponthebodyandtightenit.Ifthegasketisdamaged,replaceitfornewone.
2.5 Fortheboltedcapdesign,insertthewashedscreen,placethecaponthebodyandfasten
itwiththecapboltsandnuts.Ifthegasketisdamaged,replaceitfornewone.
2.6 Allstrainers,afterreassembly,aresubjecttopressuretestatgivenpressurestoensure
thatnoleakageisdetected.
