PROGRAMMING
YOUR
TV
REMOTE
TO
OPERATE
THE
SOUNDBAR
The
following
3
steps
should
be
used
to
program
each
function
of
your
TV
or
cable
box
remote
control
buttons
(MUTE,
VOLUME
UP,
&
VOLUME
DOWN).
IF
THE
SOUND
BAR
IS
IN
STANDBY
MODE
(solid
red
status
light),
push
the
<SOURCE>
button
on
the
soundba
r
until
the
status
light
is
solid
GREEN.

Place
the
unit
in
learning
mode:
With
the
status
light
showing
solid
GREEN,
press
and
hold
down
both
the
<SOURCE>
and
<MUTE>
buttons
on
the
front
of
the
sound
bar
at
the
s
ame
time
(approximately
3
seconds)
until
the
status
light
flashes
RED
and
GREEN.
2.
Select
the
function
to
learn:
Press
the
<
MUTE>
button
once
on
the
sound
bar
(the
s
tatu
s
li
g
ht
changes
to
solid
ORANGE).
(Substitute
the
SOURCE,
VOLUME
UP
&
VOLUME
DOWN
in
place
of
<MUTE>
when
programming
the
other
button
s
dur
ing
this
step)
3.
Learn
the
function:
Hold
your
remote
control
within
one
foot
and
pointed
at
the
front
of
the
soundbar.
Slowly
press
the
<MUTE>
button
on
your
remote
control
four
tim
es.
On
the
first
three
presses,
the
stat
us
indicator
li
g
ht
wi
ll
flicker
ORANGE
with
each
press.
If
th
e
unit
has
successfully
l
earned
th
e
function,
on
th
e
fourth
press
of
the
button,
the
light
will
flash
GREEN
severa
l
tim
es
and
then
turn
to
so
lid
GREEN.
(Remember
to
u
se
the
VOLUME
UP
&
VOLUME
DOWN
in
place
of
<
MUTE>
when
programming
the
other
buttons
during
this
step)
To
program
the
remaining
functions,
simply
repeat
all
steps,
substituting
<
MUTE>
with
the
new
function
and
button
presses
(VOLUME
UP
,
and
VOLUME
DOWN)
on
steps
TWO
and
THREE.
IMPORTANT
NOTE:
There
is
not
a
power
on/off
button
on
the
front
of
the
sound
bar
(there
is a
"
Main
Power"
s
witch
on
the
sound
bar's
rear
panel).
You
DO
NOT
need
to
turn
off
the
sound
bar
(or
subwoofer)
when
finished
watching
TV.
When
finished
,
turn
off
your
TV
(or
Satellite
or
Cable
box
if
the
so
undbar
is
connected
to
that)
.
The
s
ound
bar
(a
nd
the
subwoofer)
will
automatically
go
into
a
Sta
ndby
or
"
sleep"
mode
if
they
do
not
receive
an
a
udio
si
gna
l
from
your
TV
,
Sate
llite
or
Cable
Box
for
approx
imately
10
minutes
.
Standby
"
On"
mode
is
indicated
by
a
solid
red
l
eft
s
tatu
s
li
g
ht
on
the
soundbar
front
and
on
th
e
s
ubwoof
er
rear
pan
el.
When
your
TV,
Satellite
or
Cable
box
is
turned
back
on
and
a
signal
is
again
received
the
so
und
bar
(and
subwoofer)
will
automatically
come
out
of
Standby
mode
and
turn
on.
OPERATING
THE
KLIPSCH
ICON'M
SB
1
Once
your
soundbar
is
connecte
d
and
operating
,
you
will
want
to
comp
le
te
a
few
basic
steps
to
get
the
mo
st
enjoyment
out
of
your
sy
s
tem.
First,
you
will
want
to
turn
off
the
speakers
on
your
TV
and
let
your
so
und
bar
be
your
new
so
und
source.
Some
TV's
will
automatically
turn
off
their
speakers
when
you
connect
the
soundbar,
while
others
you
must
manually
turn
their
speakers
off.
Refer
to
your
TV's
owner's
manual
for
instructions
to
turn
off
the
TV
s
peakers.
If
you
cannot
turn
your
TV
spea
ker
s
off,
the
sound
bar
will
still
give
you
an
exce
llent
enhancem
e
nt
to
the
sou
nd
coming
from
your
TV
,
and
you
can
easily
adjust
your
TV
so
und
to
blend
with
the
sound
bar'
s
so
und
.
To
make
this
adjustment,
first
pro
g
ram
your
TV
remot
e
to
operate
the
so
undb
ar,
then
manually
turn
your
TV
volum
e
down
a
ll
the
way
down
from
the
cont
rol
s
on
the
TV
it
se
lf.

3D
Surround
Mode
which
adds
spaciousness
to
the
sound
,
simulating
the
effect
of
having
multiple
speakers
surrounding
you
such
as
in
a
movie
theater.
This
feature
requires
no
dist
i
nct
speaker
placement
,
special
room
require-
ments
or
specific
program
material
to
work
properly.
To
turn
on,
si
mply

the
"3D"
but-
ton
on
the
KLIPSCH
ICON'"
SB
1
remote
and
the
sound
bar
will
show
a wh
ite
light
indicating
the
feature
is
on.
To
turn
off
,
push
the
3D
button
again
and
the
white
l
ight
will
turn
off,
along
with
th
e
feature.
This
effect
will
work
at
multiple
listening
positions
in
your
room
.
The
four
control
buttons
can
be
programmed
into
other
remote
controls
using
the
built-in
Learning
Remote
feature,
but
the
3D
Surround
mode
On/Off
button
cannot
be
learned
by
any
other
remote
and
must
be
controlled
with
the
included
remote.
