e. Place the washers and nuts on the bolts (from
the outside of the deck) and use the socket wrench
(not included) to securely fasten the scraper bar to
the deck (Fig. 12d).
13. Replacing the Rubber Paddles(Fig. 13).
WARNING
Make sure to turn off the snow blower by releasing
the bail switch and remove the battery pack(s)
before performing any maintenance task on your
snow blower.
NOTICE: When replacing worn rubber paddles, pay
close attention to the order in which you remove
them. Assemble the new rubber paddles in the
reverse order of the disassembly.
a. Use a 3/8” (10 mm) socket wrench (not
included) and a 5/32” (4mm) hex wrench
(not included) to remove the 12 sets of nuts,
washers, and bolts xed on the middle steel plate, and the 4 sets of nuts, washers, and
bolts xed on the steel plate on each side
(total of 8 sets), that are used to secure the rubber paddles.
b. Remove the middle and side rubber paddles.
c. Install the new rubber paddles in the reverse order of the disassembly. Secure them by
tightening the 4 sets of nuts, washers, and bolts on each side (total of 8 sets) and the 12
sets in the middle.
