Inserting Lan:aps
To insert the lamp, place the two pins on the base
of the lamp in the slots in the socket; then push
the lamp straig ht into the socket. Do not twist
the lamp.
To release the lamp from the socket, push the
LAMP RELEASE spring locat ed on the top of the
fiasholder. The lamp will fall from the socket.
Flash lamp s are too hot to handle immediately
after they have been fired, therefore, never try
to pull a lamp out of the socket-use the lamp re-
lease. Also, pulling lamp s from the socket by force
may damage the socket .
Do not insert a flash lamp in the socket if the
end
of the cord is plugged into the extension termi-
nal on the front of the flash older handle. Th e lamp _
will flash and a serious
burn may result.

CAUTION: Do not flash lamps in an explo-
.. .. sive atmosphere. Since lamps may shatter
when flashed, the use of a Kodak Flash-
guard or siniilar protective shield over the
reflector is recommended.
