WARNING: The stirrer shaft must be
fully engaged and locked in place before
starting stirrer motor. Please refer to Figure
8 for appropriate height of paddle when
stirrer assembly is fully engaged.

9. With a sample ready and the stirrer placed
inside the sample, set the desired
parameters on the test control panel (See
Section 5.4 for full operational details) and
press the Start Test button to commence
the test.
10. When the timer reaches 0:00, the stirrer
motor will stop and an audible alarm will
sound for 10 seconds to signify the end of
the stirring period. The Stop button may be
used to interrupt the 10 second audible
alarm.
11. At the end of the stirring period, please
follow the appropriate test method such as
those listed in section 1.2 for determining
the water separability of the test sample.
Use the lamp to help illuminate the sample
for better viewing. Follow these steps again
for testing the next sample.

1. The Set Speed / Time Screen allows the
user to set the test parameters prior to
running a test
2. Press the box to the left of RPM to set the
stirring speed
3. Press the box to the left of MIN to set the
duration of the test
4. Press START TEST to begin running the
test.
NOTE: Please note that the START TEST
button will not appear until the stirrer shaft is
lowered and fully engaged in the proper test
position. See Figures 11 and 12.
