Remove the hose connected to strainer block (2) of PPC
circuit, and remove strainer block (2) of PPC circuit from
fan pump.

Remove strainer (3) from strainer block (2).
7.
Clean strainer (3) in clean diesel oil.
8.
Install strainer (3) to strainer block (2).
When installing, be sure to replace O-ring (4) with a new
one.
9.
Install strainer block (2) to the fan pump, and install the
hose.
When installing, be sure to replace O-ring (5) with a new
one.
10.
Release the lock of cover (1), then close the cover.
11.
Start the engine.
12.
Set the bucket control lever to “TILT” position and the
boom control lever to “FLOAT” position.
When the cylinder reaches to its stroke end, keep that con-
dition for 1 minute.
13.
Set the bucket control lever to “DUMP” position and the
boom control lever to “RAISE” position.
When the cylinder reaches to its stroke end, keep that condition for 1 minute.
14.
Stop the engine.
METHOD FOR CLEANING WORK EQUIPMENT CIRCUIT STRAINER
WARNING
Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury.
Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
For details of air bleeding from hydraulic circuit, consult your Komatsu distributor.
1.
Set the bottom of bucket to be level, and lower the work equipment to the ground.
2.
Set the parking brake switch to ON position (operate).
3.
Stop the engine.
Wait for the temperature of each part to drop.
4.
Open cover (1) at the rear of cab, and fix it with the band.
