5.5 Receiving an Internet fax
This machine supports receiving Internet faxes as well as transmitting Internet faxes. This section explains
how to receive an Internet fax.
5.5.1 Receiving an Internet fax
Before receiving an Internet Fax, configure the following items. Incorrect settings will result in a communica-
tion error, leading to a receiving failure.
- IP address
- Subnet mask
- Gateway
- POP3 server
- POP3 port number
- POP3 timeout
- POP3 account
- POP3 password
- Auto RX (p. 5-13)
- Forward address (p. 5-10)
- Header printing (p. 5-11)

5.5.2 Receivable data
The available data types are as follows.
- Text data
- TIFF image
- Mixed data of text and TIFF image
- JPEG image
The following type of data may not be received.
