Noise that appears to emanate from the fusing unit can be a very elusive issue to resolve. This is a direct
result of many factors, including:
• Moving parts, each of which may contribute to a noise
• Tighttolerancesrequiredfortheunittooperatereliablyandefciently
• Thenon-directionalnatureofsound,especiallyinanMFP,whichmakeitdifculttoidentifythesourceof
the sound
• Accuracy and thoroughness of routine maintenance, including proper cleaning and lubrication
