The Kramer TOOLS VP-200AK is a 1:2 distribution amplifier designed for UXGA (and higher) resolution signals, as well as unbalanced and balanced stereo audio signals. It is suitable for rental and staging systems, schools, religious institutions, and corporate applications.
Function Description:
The VP-200AK accepts one computer graphics input on a 15-pin HD (F) connector, buffers and isolates it, and then distributes the signal to two identical outputs, also on high-density 15-pin HD connectors. For audio, it accepts an unbalanced stereo audio input via a 3.5mm mini-plug connector. It simultaneously provides two unbalanced stereo audio outputs on mini-plug connectors and two balanced stereo audio outputs on terminal block connectors. The device features KR-ISP™ advanced sync processing, which restores the sync signal waveform to ensure a sharp, stable image, even with low sync levels, and ensures compatibility with a wide range of computers. It also includes ID bit control internally and separate controls for audio output level and UXGA equalization. The unit is powered by a 5V DC input.

Usage Features:
The VP-200AK is designed for straightforward setup and operation.
- Connecting Video: Connect a computer graphics source to the 15-pin HD (F) INPUT connector. Connect the two 15-pin HD (F) OUTPUT connectors to up to two acceptors (e.g., a display and a projector). If only one output is needed, either output can be used, leaving the other unconnected.
- Connecting Audio: Connect the unbalanced audio source (e.g., computer graphics source audio) to the INPUT 3.5mm mini jack connector. Connect the unbalanced audio OUT 1 and OUT 2, 3.5mm mini jack connectors, to up to two unbalanced audio acceptors (e.g., tape recorders). Additionally, connect the BALANCED AUDIO OUTPUT (R1, L1 and R2, L2) terminal block connectors to up to two balanced audio acceptors (e.g., power amplifiers).
- Powering the Unit: Connect the 5V DC power adapter to the power socket and then to the mains electricity. It is recommended to switch off power on all devices before connecting them to the VP-200AK, and then power on the VP-200AK first, followed by other devices.
- Adjustments: If necessary, adjust the right and left audio signal levels using the LEFT LEVEL and RIGHT LEVEL trimmers, and the UXGA EQ. level using the UXGA EQ. trimmer. These adjustments are made by inserting a screwdriver into the small hole and carefully rotating it.
- ON LED: An ON LED illuminates when the unit is receiving power.
- Cable Quality: To achieve optimal performance, it is crucial to use good quality connection cables to prevent interference, signal deterioration, and elevated noise levels.
- Placement: Position the VP-200AK away from moisture, excessive sunlight, dust, and neighboring electrical appliances that could adversely influence signal quality.
Maintenance Features:
- Safety Warning: Disconnect the unit from the power supply before opening or servicing.
- No User-Serviceable Parts: The unit contains no operator-serviceable parts inside.
- Authorized Service: Servicing should only be performed by an authorized Kramer technician. Any unauthorized changes or modifications will void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
- Power Adapter: Use only the Kramer Electronics input power wall adapter provided with the unit.
- Packaging: It is recommended to save the original box and packaging materials for possible future shipment.
- Warranty: Kramer Electronics provides a seven-year warranty on labor and parts from the date of the first customer purchase, covering defects in material and workmanship. The warranty is only enforceable by the first purchase customer. It does not cover damage from accidents, misuse, unauthorized repairs, or improper installation, among other exclusions.
- Warranty Service: To obtain service, the product must be shipped prepaid to an authorized Kramer service center with the original dated invoice (or a copy) as proof of warranty coverage. A contact name, company, address, and a description of the problem should also be included.
- Compliance: The equipment has been tested to comply with EN-50081 (Electromagnetic compatibility; generic emission standard), EN-50082 (Electromagnetic compatibility; generic immunity standard), and CFR-47 (FCC Rules and Regulations, Part 15: Radio frequency devices, Subpart B Unintentional radiators).
- Cables: Use recommended interconnection cables (e.g., STP cable for twisted pair products) to connect the machine to other components.
