What to do if KTM 640 DUKE II Motorcycle engine cranks but doesn’t start?
- JJennifer RobinsonAug 20, 2025
If your KTM Motorcycle engine cranks but doesn’t start, it could be due to a few reasons. It could be an operating error, so open the fuel tap. If the motorcycle has been out of operation for a longer period of time, drain the old fuel from the float chamber. If the fuel supply is interrupted, loosen the fuel hose at the carburetor to check fuel flow, and inspect the tank ventilation. If the engine is flooded, fully open the throttle when starting, or replace a sooty or wet spark plug. Adjust the spark plug electrode gap to 0.9 mm, or replace the spark plug. Inspect the ignition system, clean the plug connection, or dismount and clean the carburetor.
