9 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Armature Coil
1.
Check the continuity between the commutator and armature coil
core with an ohmmeter.
2.
If it conducts, replace the armature.
3.
Check the continuity between the segments of the commutator
with an ohmmeter.
4. If it does not conduct, replace the armature.

Field Coil
1.
Check the continuity between the connecting lead (1) and the
brush (2) with an ohmmeter.
2.
If it does not conduct, replace the yoke assembly.
3.
Check the continuity between the brush (2) and the yoke
(3)
with
an ohmmeter.
4. If it conducts, replace the yoke assembly.
