Brush Holder
1. Check the continuity across the brush holder and the holder
support with a circuit tester.
2. If it conducts, replace the brush holder.

Armature Coil
1. Check the continuity across the commutator and armature coil
core with resistance range of circuit tester.
2. If it conducts, replace the armature.
3. Check the continuity across the segments of the commutator with
resistance range of circuit tester.
4. If it does not conduct, replace the armature.

Field Coil
1. Check the continuity across the lead (1) and brush (2) with a
circuit tester.
2. If it does not conduct, replace the yoke assembly.
3. Check the continuity across the brush (2) and yoke (3) with a
circuit tester.
4. If it conducts, replace the yoke assembly.
