Why is my KUHN Lawn Mower leaving uneven stubble?
    • G
      gregorypaulaAug 3, 2025
Uneven stubble can occur for several reasons. The cutterbar may have too much tilt, requiring a reduction in tilt. The PTO frequency might be too low; increase the engine frequency to run the PTO at 540 min-1. Ensure knives are installed correctly, with the arrow on the knife's upper face pointing in the disc's rotation direction. Check belts for correct tension if the disc frequency is low. Finally, replace dull or broken knives.

What to do if KUHN GMD 400 Lawn Mower has soil built up in front of the cutterbar?
    • S
      scott54Aug 9, 2025
If soil builds up in front of the cutterbar, this is likely due to very wet conditions or sticky ground. In wet conditions, adjust the main frame height by shortening the chain as necessary. If the ground is sticky, consider fitting a set of raised skids.
