What to do if KUHN Farm Equipment turbine fails to rotate?
    • T
      Timothy RiceJul 27, 2025
If the turbine fails to rotate, and the overload clutch is slipping, it might be jammed. First, switch off the tractor engine and disengage the tractor PTO. Then, check for any product buildup in the turbine. If there is buildup, use the hook on the right-hand side of the machine to pull out the jammed product at the distribution chute or beater bar. Use a lever to ensure the turbine can rotate freely. Once released, run the turbine empty for a few seconds until it reaches its normal working speed.

Why is my KUHN Farm Equipment turbine rattling when PTO is engaged?
    • A
      Amy CarrollAug 3, 2025
If the turbine rattles when the PTO is engaged, the clutch may be slipping intermittently. To resolve this, gradually engage the PTO to a suitable speed. If your machine has a free-wheel drive shaft and your tractor has a hydraulic PTO clutch, consult your dealer, as there may be a problem with the progressive clutch rate, irrespective of tractor engine speed.

What to do if KUHN Farm Equipment chute movement is too quick?
    • K
      Kelly SkinnerAug 9, 2025
If the chute movement is too quick, it's likely that the flow limiters are open too far. Adjust the flow limiters to correct this.

How to resolve loading difficulties in KUHN Farm Equipment?
    • C
      Christine ShermanAug 14, 2025
If you're experiencing loading difficulties due to insufficient gate power, it could be a hydraulic problem. Check that the hydraulic connection between the tractor and the machine is correct, ensuring proper pressure and return. Have your dealer check the hydraulic pressure (180 bar) and the pump flow (30 l/min). The return pressure must be 8 bar maximum at nominal tractor engine speed.

What to do if the turbine is rotating and the beater bar is moving forwards in KUHN Farm Equipment?
    • D
      David BrownAug 21, 2025
If the turbine is rotating and the beater bar is moving forwards, there might be a few reasons: the conveyor is set to 0, the beater bar is jammed, or there's insufficient beater bar and conveyor power. Set the conveyor speed to the appropriate mark. Decompress the product inside the body with the gate. Briefly switch the conveyor to reverse and then back to forward motion. Refer to the section on loading difficulties for hydraulic problem solutions.
