Why is my KUHN Lawn Mower rotor finger rattling?

  If your KUHN Lawn Mower's rotor fingers are rattling, it could be due to insufficient rotor speed. To resolve this, select the rabbit position to achieve a rotor speed of 1000 min-1. Another possible cause is that the conditioning hood is too closed; try positioning the rotor conditioning hood further away. Excessive ground speed can also contribute to this issue, so reducing your ground speed may help.

  Uneven stubble can occur due to several reasons. Check for dull or broken knives and replace them if necessary. Ensure knives are installed correctly, with the arrow on the knife's upper face pointing in the disc's direction of rotation. Reduce ground speed if it's excessive. Also, verify and adjust the cutting height and mowing unit floatation as needed. If dealing with tangled or down crops, reduce the cutting height and increase the mowing unit ground pressure.

  If it's impossible to sufficiently decrease or increase the mowing unit ground pressure, it may be due to soil build-up on the machine and maximum ground pressure reduction. Adjust torsion bars of the ground pressure system. (See maintenance and storage chapter)
