13. SCAN/MENU
Scan
With this control, you can automatically seek for any activating busy channel. Turn the Squelch
clockwise until the background noise is no longer heard.
Press the “SCAN” button: the transceiver will scan automatically all the channels until any busy
channel is detected.
When a busy channel is detected, you can press PTT button if you want to start communication
at This channel or you can ignore it for seconds then scanning will start again.
If you want to stop Scanning, you can press SCAN button again or press ptt button.
Menu
This MENU button can control two functions in sequence as follows.
Press and hold the SCAN/MENU button for 2 seconds to enter the menu function.
The LED display will show L1 and you need to adjust CH-Selector to choose one of two backlight-
ing color (L1 : Blue, L2 : Red).
Press SCAN/MENU again to enter the next menu.
The display will show Br or dr and you need to adjust CH-Selector to choose one of two bright-
ness control (Br : Bright, dr : Dimmer)
You can reach:
1. Backlight color select (Blue or Red)
2. Backlighting brightness (Bright or dimmer)
3. 0 RASTER FREQUENCY ON/OFF, this MENU is available only when Poland country is
selected (PL) in multi-standard mode.
The display will show OP (Polish 0 frequency) or 5E (standard Europe frequency).
Selection will be made by Up or Down by the rotating channel switch.
14. TX Indicator LED
This red LED indicator light up when the radio is in transmit mode.
15. AWI Indicator LED
This red LED indicator light up when the radio is AWI condition. The AWI indicator will continu-
ously on red LED while transmitting if your antenna has a high SWR, Please check your installed
antenna conditions. To prevent damaging your radio, You need to correct your antenna connec-
tion carefully as long as the AWI LED is on.
Radios that are damaged from a high SWR are not covered under the factory warranty.
