3 – TRANSPORT AND HANDLING OF THE MACHINE
Warning!: during handling operations, accidents caused by collisions and entangling in the
machine during handling operations may occur.
3.1 TRANSPORT AND PACKAGING
- Transport of the machine is performed using trucks or containers.
Packaging includes wooden crates or, in the case of small machines, no packaging is
necessary except for a protective film.
In some cases cardboard packaging can be found for accessories (tables, rollers etc).
Furthermore, the machines may be divided up into modules, due to dimensions and
handling, subsequently to be assembled on site.
The dimensions of the wooden crates vary according to the type of machine.
3.2 HANDLING
Handling of the machine, or of its modules (without packaging or packed in wooden crates),
must be performed using a fork-lift truck, driven by an authorised person and with specific
training.
Warning: During transport, standing close to the machine is prohibited because in the event
of incorrect handling, the machine may overturn and cause serious damage to people or
things.
