Why is my Lauda Chiller alarming due to high refrigerant pressure?

  The Lauda Chiller may alarm due to high refrigerant pressure for several reasons. The lateral panels of the housing might be open, so close them. There may be low airflow into the condenser, so clean the condenser. The ambient temperature could be too high, in which case you should wait until it lowers. The water temperature might be too high; try to cool down the water in the circuit while the chiller is stopped. Finally, the motor fan may not be working; check the motor fan fuses, and if the problem persists, contact authorised technical service.

  If your Lauda Chiller's control thermostat displays LO HI E0, Er2, or EE codes, it could mean the temperature has been below the setpoint for some time. If the compressor is stopped, the water temperature will rise to normal eventually. It could also mean the temperature has been above the setpoint for some time; if the compressor is still running, contact authorised technical service. The thermostat or temperature sensor might also be faulty; check that the cold water setpoint is within the indicated limits, and if the problem persists, contact authorised technical service.

  If the low flow/temperature control of your Lauda Chiller operates continuously, the water circuit may be blocked. Clean the water circuit and check for closed valves. Freezing could also be a factor, so check the proportion of ethylene glycol. Another possibility is a circuit break in the pump; reset the circuit breaker of the pump, and if the problem persists, contact authorised technical service.
