Important:Yourmachinedoesnotcomewithoilin
theengine.Beforestartingtheengine,lltheengine
withoil.
1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Removethedipstick(Figure5)andpourabout3/4of
thecrankcasecapacityofoilintotheoil-lltube.
Note:Max.ll:0.53L(18oz),type:10W-30orSAE
30detergentoilwithanAPIserviceclassicationof
SJorhigher.

3.Wipeoffthedipstickwithacleancloth.
4.Insertthedipstickintotheoil-lltube,butdonot
screwitin.
5.Removethedipstickandreadtheoillevelonthe
dipstick(Figure5).
•Iftheoillevelislow,addasmallamountofoil
slowlytotheoil-lltube,andthenrepeatsteps
3through5untiltheoillevelonthedipstickis
correct.
•Iftheoillevelishigh,draintheexcessoiluntilthe
oillevelonthedipstickiscorrect.Todrainthe
excessoil,refertoChangingtheEngineOil(page
12).
Important:Iftheoillevelinthecrankcaseis
toolowortoohighandyouruntheengine,
youmaydamagetheengine.
6.Installthedipsticksecurely.
Important:Checktheengine-oillevelbeforeeach
useandaddoilasneeded.RefertoCheckingthe
Engine-OilLevel(page6).
