ASSEMBLY
Never adjust the assist handle while the trimmer head is running. Failure to stop the engine may
cause serious personal injury.
ADJUSTING THE ASSIST HANDLE (See Figs. 5-6)
The assist handle is pre-installed at delivery. Inspect and adjust it before operation if necessary.
■ Release the assist handle cam lock.
■ Adjust the assist handle using the anti-vibration ball to your most comfortable position as shown
(Fig. 5).
■ Secure the assist handle cam lock. Pay attention not to position the assist handle under the
shaft (Fig. 6).
■ The assist handle can only move in the direction indicated by the two arrows in Fig. 5, between
the two arrows marked "Handle Position".
