3.3 Fire fighting measures
3.3.1 Conduct in case of fire
(Initiate emergency measures)
The following procedure is merely a recommendation and must be adapted to the
respective operating situation.
 Stay calm!
 Report the fire!
 WHO is reporting?
 WHAT happened?
 WHERE did it happen?
 HOW MANY persons are affected or injured?
 Wait for potential questions?
 Activate the fire alarm
 Safety!
 Bring endangered persons to safety.
 Close doors.
 Follow marked escape routes.
 Do not use the elevator!
 Comply with instructions!
 Additional measures
 Attempt to extinguish the fire
 Instruct the fire department personnel.
 Turn away curious onlookers.
