5.2 Forward speed and PTO speed
In addition to a correctly set-up machine, the forward speed and
rotor r.p.m are also essential for obtaining a good and clean raking
result.
- Select a forward speed and PTO output (430-470 r.p.m., max.
540 r.p.m.), which will ensure a good, clean windrow.
The best result is obtained if the forward speed is not too high; up
until approximately 10 km/h depending on the crop.
Lower the forward speed when the clutch is engaged due to
overload.
6 DISMOUNTING FROM THE TRACTOR
The machine can be dismounted from the tractor both in the
working and in the transport position.
Always place the machine on hard, even ground.
- Place the parking jacks in the bottom position.
- Lower the tractor hydraulics until the parking jacks rest on the
ground.
- Switch off the tractor engine.
- Disengage the PTO shaft from the tractor PTO.
- Place the PTO shaft in the hook.
- Depressurise the hydraulic system and disconnect the hydraulic
hoses. Place the dust caps on the plugs.
- Remove the control cord for the ram lock from the tractor cab.
- Disconnect the top link from the machine.
- Disconnect the lower arms from the machine.
