• Check the knife bolts for tightness (fig. 25).
Type “S”: lock bolts with Loctite 243 or use new bolts and
locking agent. Torque: 50-60 Nm (5-6 kgm).
Type “N”: torque 50-60 Nm (5-6 kgm).
• Check the mower discs for tightness (fig. 25). Torque:
150-250 Nm (15-25 kgm). The split pin locking the
castellated nut is not allowed to protrude above the
pressure piece.
• Check the V belts for correct tension.
Dismount the V belt housing. The tension should be such
that each V belt can be pushed in, between the pulleys,
appox. 10 mm (fig. 26) by applying a force of 70 N (7 kg).
It is recommended to depressurize the V belts if the
machine will remain out of operation for a longer period of
time.
• Check the tyre pressure, which should be 310-420 kPa
(3,1-4,2 bar).
• Check all bolts and nuts for tightness. Pay particular
attention to the bolts which secure the skids and wear
plates (fig. 27).
When tightening loose bolts/nuts the torques listed below
should be applied.
