AutomaticPower-Onfeatures
TheAutomaticPower-OnfeatureswithinthePowerManagementmenuallowyoutoenableanddisable
featuresthatturnonthecomputerautomatically.
•SerialPortARingDetect:WiththisfeaturesettoEnabledandanexternalmodemconnectedtoserial
port(COM1),thecomputerwillturnonautomaticallywhenaringisdetectedonthemodem.
•PCIModemRingDetect:WiththisfeaturesettoEnabled,thecomputerwillturnonautomatically
whenaringisdetectedontheinternalmodem.
•PCIWakeUp:ThisfeatureallowsPCIcardsthatsupportthiscapabilitytowakethesystem.
•WakeUponAlarm:Youcanspecifyadateandtimeatwhichthecomputerwillbeturnedon
automatically.Thiscanbeeitherasingleeventoradailyevent.
•WakeonLAN:Ifthecomputerhasaproperlyconguredtoken-ringorEthernetLANadaptercardthatis
WakeonLAN-enabledandthereisremotenetworkmanagementsoftware,youcanusetheWakeonLAN
feature.WhenyousetWakeonLANtoEnabled,thecomputerwillturnonwhenitreceivesaspecic
signalfromanothercomputeronthelocalareanetwork(LAN)
RecoveringsoftwareusingtheRescueandRecoveryprogram
Whenyouinstallanewharddiskdrive,youalsoneedasetofProductRecoverydiscs.ThesetofProduct
Recoverydiscswillenablethecontentsoftheharddisktoberestoredtothesamestateaswhenthe
