installtheEthernetcarddrivermanually,visittheLenovoWebsiteathttp://www.lenovo.com/driversand

IfyouareinstallingaRAIDcard,dothefollowing:
1.ConfigureRAIDforyourserver.See“ConfiguringRAID”onpage63.
2.ChecktheversionofthenewRAIDcardfirmwarebypressingCtrl+HwhenstartingtheSetup
Utilityprogram.
3.Gotohttp://www.lenovo.com/driversandfollowtheinstructionsontheWebpagetodownloadthe
latestversionoffirmware.Then,installthefirmwaretoyourserver.
RemovingaPCIecard

Dependingonthespecifictype,thePCIecardmightlookdifferentfromtheillustrationsinthistopic.
ToremoveaPCIecard,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallexternalmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.If
theserverisintowerformfactor,laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercoveronpage70.
4.Removethecoolingshroud.See“Removingthecoolingshroud”onpage73.
5.LocatethePCIecard.
6.DependingonthetypeofthePCIecard,youmightalsoneedtodisconnectallcablesfromthePCIe
card,thesystemboard,orthebackplane.
7.PivotthelatchforthePCIecardslotthatsecuresthePCIecardtotheopenposition.
