themicroprocessorsocketsduringshippingandhandling.Usethemicroprocessorsocketcovers
removedfromthenewsystemboard.
Toinstallamicroprocessorsocketcoverontheoldsystemboard,dothefollowing:
a.Closethemicroprocessorretainer.Pressdownthesmallhandle1firstandthenpushthehandle
inwardtosecureit.Then,pressdownthesmallhandle2andthenpushthehandleinwardto
lockthemicroprocessorretainerintoposition.
Note:Therearetwomarksonthemicroprocessorretainer.Ensurethatyouclosethesmallhandle
markedwith
firstandthenclosetheothersmallhandlemarkedwith.Alwaysfollowthecorrect
sequencewhenyouclosethesmallhandles.
