6. To install a new front USB assembly, see “Installing the front USB assembly” on page 76.
7. If you are instructed to return the old front USB assembly, follow all packaging instructions and use any
packaging materials that are supplied to you for shipping.
Installing the front USB assembly
To install a new front USB assembly, do the following:
1. Prepare your server. See “Preparing your server and removing the server cover” on page 41.
2. Remove the front bezel. See “Removing the front bezel” on page 42.
3. Remove the old front USB assembly in your server. See “Removing the front USB assembly” on page
75.
4. Route the cable of the new front USB assembly through the corresponding square hole in the front of the
chassis.
5. Position the front USB assembly onto the chassis and slide it to the left as shown. Then, install the screw
to secure the front USB assembly in place.
