•Followtheinstructionsonthescreeninadditiontotheinstructionsinthistopic.
1.Inserttheoperatingsysteminstallationdiscintotheopticaldrivethatyouhavesetastherststartup
device.Then,starttheserverfromtheopticaldrive.
2.Pressanykeyonthekeyboardassoonasthemessage“PressanykeytobootfromCDorDVD”is
displayed.Then,theWindowssetupinitializationbegins.
3.WhentheInstallWindowswindowisdisplayed,congurethefollowingoptionsandthenclickNext.
•Languagetoinstall
•Timeandcurrencyformat
•Keyboardorinputmethod
4.ClickInstallnow.
5.TypeyourproductkeyandclickNext.TheproductkeyinformationisavailableontheMicrosoft
CerticateofAuthenticitylabelorproductpackaging.
6.WhentheMicrosoftlicensetermsaredisplayed,selectIacceptthelicensetermsandclickNext.
7.SelectCustom(advanced).
8.Whenallharddiskdrivesavailableontheserveraredisplayed,dooneofthefollowingtoselector
createadrivepartitiononwhichyouwanttoinstalltheoperatingsystem:
Note:Amessage“Nodriverswerefound”mightbedisplayed,indicatingthatyourserverdoesnothave
amassstoragedevicedriverinstalled.Toinstallamassstoragedevicedriver,connectaUSBstorage
devicethatcontainstherequiredRAIDcontrollerdriverandclickLoadDriver.
•Ifyouwanttousetheentireharddiskdriveasoneprimarypartition,selectDisk0Unallocated
SpacefortheharddiskdriveonwhichyouwanttoinstalltheoperatingsystemandthenclickNext.
Afterthesetupprocessnishes,adrivepartitionwillbeautomaticallycreated.
•Ifyouwanttomanuallycreateanewdrivepartition,dothefollowing:
a.SelectDisk0UnallocatedSpacefortheharddiskdriveonwhichyouwanttoinstalltheoperating
system.Then,clickDriveoptions(advanced).
b.ClickNew.
c.Typetheamountofspace(inMB)forthedrivepartitionandclickApply.
Notes:
–Ifamessageisdisplayed,indicatingthattheWindowsoperatingsystemcannotbeinstalledon
thedrivepartitionyouselectedorcreated,clickthemessagetoviewtheminimumfreespace
thatisrequiredforthedrivepartition.Ensurethatthedrivepartitionyouselectedorcreated
meetstherequirement.
