Reset the unit before using the device for the rst time:
1. Press the reset button on the back of the unit with a small and sharp object (e.g. the end of a paper clip). “RE-
SET?” will be displayed on the screen.
2. Press ENTER to conrm.
3. Press any other key to skip the reset procedure, and enter home time mode.
Note: If a function key is pressed, the reset procedure will be cancelled and the corresponding function will be
activated.

CHANGING CAPITALS AND LOWER CASE
Press to switch the keyboard between capital and lower case letters.
CHANGING CHARACTERS AND NUMBER INPUT
In TELEPHONE, MEMO and SCHEDULE modes, press once to switch to number input. Press again to
return to character input.
SYSTEM SETTINGS
Press to modify the system settings. Use or to scroll through the following settings:
1. AUTO OFF: Press ENTER for auto off time settings. The default auto off time is 5 minutes. Press or to scroll
through the following selection: 3 MINUTES, 5 MINUTES and 7 MINUTES. Press ENTER to conrm.
2. PASSWORD: Press ENTER to access this function. For more details, please refer to the SECRET MEMORY
section.
3. CONTRAST: Press ENTER for contrast settings. The default contrast is 6. Press or to scroll from 1 to 8.
Press ENTER to conrm.
4. LANGUAGE: Press ENTER to select the language of the prompts. The default language is ENGLISH.
Press or o scroll as follows: ENGLISH, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH, ESPAÑOL, ITALIANO,
PORTUGUÊS, POLSKI, NEDERLANDS, SUOMI, NORSK, DANSK, SVENSKA, ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ, MAGYAR and
TÜRKÇE. Press ENTER to conrm.
5. HOME CITY: Press ENTER for home city name settings. You can input your city’s name to edit the city
displayed on the home time screen. Press ENTER to conrm.
6. MEMORY: Press ENTER to display the available memory.
SETTING HOME TIME
1. Press + to select HOME TIME ( symbol displayed), then press EDIT.
2. Press or until the city of your time zone appears, then press to move the cursor to the second line.
3. Press or then to set the year, month and day.
4. Use the same procedure as above to set the hours, minutes and seconds.
5. Press ENTER to save your settings.
Press + DST to switch the daylight saving time on or off.
Note: The home time format is 24-hour, and the date format is YYYY/MM/DD.

Press twice to lock SHIFT.
** The cursor blinks after each character or under each character.
