PHRASES
There are 150 phrases and expressions classied into 10 categories:
1. BUSINESS
2. RESTAURANT
3. HOTEL/ACCOMMODATION
4. IN TOWN
5. TRAVELLING AROUND
It is possible to translate a phrase in any of the 15 languages available.
Using the phrases mode
1. Press + to select the phrases mode.
2. The screen briey shows the language set in the system settings, and then it displays the rst option of the
phrases mode.
3. The rst category is displayed. Press ENTER to conrm.
4. Or press to view the next category. Press ENTER to conrm. The rst phrase of the category will be shown.
5. Press to see the next phrase in the list. Press to see the previous phrase in the list.
6. Press a language key to view the translation in the target language.
7. If a phrase is long, you can scroll down using and .
8. To scroll through the phrases within a category, press or .
9. To return to the phrase list, press + ESC.

TELEPHONE MODE
There are two types of telephone directory: BUSINESS and PERSONAL.
1. Press + once for PERSONAL and twice for BUSINESS. A maximum of 11 lines can be input per eld.
2. Enter JOHN SMITH and press ENTER.
3. Enter NEW YORK and press ENTER.
4. Press to input numbers, then key in a phone number and press ENTER.
5. On the FAX# line, input a number and press ENTER.
6. Press to enter characters. Input “FRIEND” on the NOTE line and press ENTER.
It is possible to skip a eld entry by pressing or and ENTER (for example if your contact does not have a
fax number).
Note: The following symbols can be entered by pressing repeatedly:

To type an accented letter, type the letter and then press repeatedly until the correct accent is displayed.
